Dr. Alexis Shellow received her Doctorate in Business Administration, where she concentrated in Program Management. She specializes in data analysis and is passionate about using data driven efforts to improve employee satisfaction and performance. Dr. Shellow published her study “The Relationship Between Employee Engagement, Job Satisfaction, and Employee Performance in the Federal Government” where she assessed which factors contribute to engagement and satisfaction, and how that data can be used to predict employee performance. Alexis has approximately 10 years’ experience in marketing, market research and analysis, and business development. In the early stages of her career, she worked with Big Data to determine the most efficient marketing strategies for consumers. She then worked in a Military hospital using data to help build rehabilitative programs to get combat veterans acclimated to civilian life. She currently works as a Contracting Officer for the federal government, specializing in IT Acquisitions. Outside of her professional career, Alexis serves as the Chapter President of NCMA Tysons. She also volunteers as a mentor for undergraduate students looking to pursue a career in IT and business management-related career fields.
